Borregohiking.com has a wildflower report for the Big Spring/Culp Valley areas of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
Flowers are found again way above Big Spring in the steeper boulder rich canyon.
Notice the Red brome in Culp valley and of course the Coyote Melon that are plentiful out here.
Thousands of Whispering Bells in the boulders, but only a few opened up their flowers.
You see a lot of Golden yarrow and it seems to be paintbrush time.
Desert apricot, are starting to bloom, but only a couple of them. They make the nicest of pictures.
We spotted one Indian Valley bush mallow near the spring, that was almost white, not a common sight.
In the Big Spring, plenty of streaming water, but hardly anything blooming.
But you find Indian Valley Bush Mallow and the tiny Star gilia.
