Asheville NC Fall Foliage Color Leaf Report 2013 has a fall color update for October 30, 2013:

It’s going to be a great (and last) weekend for seeing the beautiful fall colors in our mountains! The best color will be in the Chimney Rock and Lake Lure areas, as well as the city of Asheville. After a rainy Friday, the weekend weather looks great with colder temps coming on Sunday. A great time to get outside and hike to a waterfall (most of our featured waterfalls are in lower elevations with great color yet). See additional recent fall color photos.
