Eastern Sierra Fall Colors: Inyo National Forest 10/22/13
Inyo National Forest published the following fall color update today
Fall Color Report
Updated 10/22/2013
From the deepest reds to richest yellows there is much to get excited about as our forest turns over a new leaf. We invite you to come experience all Inyo has to offer.
Inyo National Forest is a landscape of grand peaks and picturesque lakes. As summer ends the gold and red hues of autumn grace the mountainsides. For the autumn leaf hunter, many spectacular views can be easily accessed from Highway 395, or campgrounds and trailheads. Venture into the vast backcountry and discover tucked away groves of changing color.
Fall colors are in full glory along Highway 395. Leaves have dropped in much of the high elevations.
For maps of the area, download the Eastern Sierra Fall Color Guide from MonoCounty.org (and check out new photos on facebook)
