Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest has the following fall color update for 10/13/13
Peak color now showing in the upper elevations of the Chattahoochee National Forest.
Cooler temperatures have been working their magic over north Georgia in the past few days. Night time temps this week will dip into the 40s and 30s. Later in the week they will be below freezing. High pressure will build into the area providing sunny days after today (the 22nd) lasting through the week. Put this all together and color development the fall color is going to be in full swing. This week and next week are going to be the best time to see fall color in north Georgia.
