The San Francisco Chronicle reported that Presidio National Park has received the largest cash gift in national parks history. It will help fund the creation of 10 acres of parkland connecting the Presidio to Crissy Field and the bay. It is expected the $25 million dollar gift to the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy will fund over half the cost of Tunnel Top Parkland, which is anew bluff that will cover the rebuilt Doyle Drive and an unbroken landscape from Crissy Field’s marsh inland to the Main Post of the Presidio.
