New Studies Show Whales Affected By Sonar

It has been believed that earlier and deaths of beaked whales have been connected to military use sonar. The BBC reported on two studies that show Blue and beaked whales’ behaviour is disturbed by simulated navy sonar. Although the new studies do not explain the strandings they suggest that sonar not be used in areas that are critical habitat for the whales.
