Austin, TX Wildflower Report 4/12/13

Texas Wildflower Sightings has the following report for Corral Ln. at I-35 S. in Austin, TX

Plants Seen: Engelmann’s Daisy, Purple Prairie Verbena, Texas Star, Old Plainsman

This is the biggest and densest colony of old plainsman (Hymenopappus scabiosaeus) I think I’ve ever seen. Mixed in are prairie verbena (Glandularia bipinnatifida), Texas star (Lindheimera texana), Engelmann’s daisy (Engelmannia peristenia), and some other natives.
