Jepson Prairie & Rockville Hills Wildflower Updates 3/7/13 & 3/8/13

Solano Land Trust has a new wildflower report for Jepson Prairie and Rockville Trails:

Jepson Prairie: Lots of plants getting started at Jepson Prairie. Frittilary rosettes are begining to show. Rockville Trails is starting to produce some early blooms. Milkmaids, Red maids, Buttercups, Manzanita, Seep monkeflower are beginning to bloom.

 Rockville Trails: Along with previously mentioned species, I observed Phacelia distans blooming, an unidentified species of Clematis lasiantha or Virgin’s bower, three species of Baby blue eyes (Nemophila menziesii var. menziesi, Nemophila menziesii var. atomaria and Nemophila parvifolia), Castilleja, Asclepia cordifolia, an unidentified saxifrage, Dodecatheon hendersonii, Claytonia parvifolia,Lomatium californicum, Limnanthes douglasii and Amsinckia. In addition observed Scarlet fritillary, Mission bells and Hound’s tongue, goldfields.
