Trip Reports — Washington Trails Association had the following report for Washington Park Arboretum:
If you need a flower fix, this is the walk! The winter garden is in full bloom. Lots of hellebores, witch hazel in shades of pale yellow thru coppery red, winter camellias and my favorite, hybrid Mahonia 'Arthur Menzies' (hybrid Oregon grape) Look up into Oregon silk tassel, or down onto hardy cyclamen. When you are done looking, take as many loops around ….. There is a loop trail that goes past some small ponds and along the shoreline. This area used to be a landfill, now being restored. Lots of ducks and views across the water to freeway and foothills.
