The 2013 Quadrantids meteor shower is visible from January 1 to 5 with the peak being January 3 and 4. There can be up to 40 meteors per hour at the peak. The moon will be near the last quarter so its light may hide some of the fainter meteors. Best viewing is after midnight from a dark location.Meteors will be coming from the constellation Bootes.
