Pinnacles National Park Passed by Senate

Legislation to make the Pinnacles National Monument southeast of Soledad a national park is headed to the president’s desk after the Senate approved it on Sunday.

According to a news release from the office of Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-CA, the bill will elevate the Pinnacles to a national park, a change that will draw more national recognition and tourism to an area of California renowned for its natural beauty.
