California Completes Largest U.S. Undersea Park

The LA Times reported that today California officially has completed the U.S.’s largest marine preserve consisting of 848 square miles of undersea parks. After 12 years of work, 16% of state waters have been set aside as marine reserves, including 9% that are off-limits to fishing or gathering of any kind.
