Deember 13-14 is the peak of the 2012 Geminid meteor shower. The Geminids, one of the most dependable meteor showers, takes place between December 4–17. There are often 50 or more meteors per hour. There will be a new moon so viewing conditions should be ideal. The peak viewing time will probably be 2 a.m. local time with viewing starting around 9 or 10 pm.
