I went back to the UC-Berkeley Botanical Garden again today. The weather was very much the same as yesterday. Lots of fog and cloud cover in the Berkeley flatlands, but sunny up in the hills by the garden. Today I worked on photographic composition rather than fall colors. Where as yesterday I had an 18 to 270 mm zoom on the camera all day, today I used exclusively a 100mm macro (my personal favorite lens).

Lovely pictures. I’ve only been there once but would love to be able to go in every season. And love the 100 mm macro also.

Thanks. I find a lot of my best photography comes from repeated visits to local sites. When photographing locally I focus more on photographic composition and less on recording what I see.
