U.S. Wildlife Service Continue To Be Under Fire

The Sacramento Bee reported on the U.S. Wildlife Service continuing to be in the spotlight for its wildlife management practices. The agency has attracted the ire of both conservation groups and trappers who have accused the agency of indiscriminate and excessive killing of wild animals when it is supposed to be mitigating human-wildlife conflicts. The Earth Island Journal story Fire USDA Wildlife Services Employee for Animal Cruelty, Demand Wildlife Advocates reports on photos posted on the internet by a Wildlife Services employee of hunting dogs tearing apart coyotes, racocon and other animals caught in leg traps.
