I was at UC-Berkeley Botanical Garden to work on flower photography today. Although there is definitely fall color, my favorite area in the Asian section around the pond has still not reached peak. In the past I have found the end of November peak fall color.
At home I have the option of photographing when the light is ideal, when I travel don’t. It was a bright sunny day, so instead of trying to photograph flowers that were in the shade or use a diffuser I decided to work with the sun. I mainly photographed backlight flowers or used a reflector on side and front-lit flowers. Here are today’s results with a few insects thrown in.
