Natural History Wanderings

Today I went birding at Briones Regional Park in Contra Costa County. We went in the Bear Creek Rd.Entrance and hiked along the Reservoir for about a mile and half and back on East Bay Municipal Water District Lands. You need a permit to walk on East Bay MUD lands, which you can buy online at East Bay Trails. Highlights for today were Wood Duck, a female Hooded Merganser Black-throated Warbler, and White-throated Sparrow.
