Bay Area And Northern California Birding Hotspots

I have updated the Bay Area Birding Hotspots page which is part of the Birding section of Natural History Wanderings. Here are the new additions Birding the Bay Trail is a pdf brochure has information on ten Birding hotspots around San Francisco Bay. It describes birding highlights and has directions for each hotspot.  It includes:

The  Field Trips on Bob Lewis’s Wingbeats website is an excellent list of birding sites with driving directions throughout Northern California. TogetherGreen is an initiative by the National Audubon Society and Toyota, that posts itineraries encouraging to people to get off the main highways explore nature throughout the U.S.  It includes an itinerary of birding hotspots for the San Francicsco Bay Area with links and information at  San Francisco Birding Hotspots

Also remember to check Joe Morlan’s California Birding –  A very comprehensive birding website that includes an interactive map of California with birding statistics, sites, and other birding resources for all 58 California counties; recent rarities, photo gallery, mystery birds, and an identification reference list. If you go to one birding site this is the one.
