Oregon Wildflowers has a new wildflower report for Mary’s Peak
Unlike last year, the road is open so it will be relatively easy to enjoy the wildflowers. No lupine or tiger lilies yet in the summit meadows, but there are plenty of wildflowers in bloom including: Oregon Iris (Iris tenax), Smooth Yellow Violet (Viola glabella), Star-Flowered Solomon’s Seal (Maianthemum stellatum), Cliff Larkspur (Delphinium menziesii), Spring Gold (Lomatium utriculatum), Roundleaf violet (Viola orbiculata), Early Blue violet (Viola adunca), Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana), Harsh Paintbrush (Castilleja hispida), Catchfly (Silene douglasii), Small-Flowered Blue-Eyed Mary (Collinsia parviflora), Spreading Phlox (Phlox diffusa), Bluefield gilia (Gilia capitata), Arrow-Leaf Groundsel (Senecio triangularis), Cardwell’s Penstemon (Penstemon cardwellii), Rough Wallflower(Erysimum asperum), and Scalloped Onion (Allium crenulatum)
