Oregon Wildflowers just posted a detailed wildflower bloom report for Grassy Knoll, WA dated 7/1/12
The wildflowers are great, and should be fantastic for at least another few weeks. In addition to the wildflowers, on a clear day you will have wonderful views of Mount Hood and Mount Adams.
Blooming in forested areas: Beargrass (Xerophyllum tenax), Broad-Leaf Star Flower (Trientalis latifolia), Spotted Coralroot (Corallorrhiza maculata), Inside-Out Flower (Vancouveria hexandra), Thimbleberry (Rubus parviflorus), Hooker’s Fairybell (Disporum hookeri), Western Serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia), Candyflower (Claytonia sibirica), Star-Flowered Solomon’s Seal (Smilacina stellatum), False Solomon’s Seal (Smilacina racemosa), Columbia Windflower (Anemone deltoidea), Inside-Out Flower (Vancouveria hexandra), Bunchberry (Cornus canadensis), Western Columbine (Aquilegia formosa), Vanilla Leaf (Achlys triphylla), American Vetch (Vicia americana), Stream Violet (Viola glabella), Fringecup (Tellima grandiflora), Western Meadowrue (Thalictrum occidentale), Foamflower (Tiarella trifoliata). Although none were yet blooming, there will be dozens (if not hundreds!) of Tiger Lilies (Lilium columbianum) in the near future.
Blooming in meadows and rocky areas: Northwest Balsamroot (Balsamorhiza deltoidea), Harsh Paintbrush (Castilleja hispida), Blue-Headed Gilia (Gilia capitata), Spring Gold (Lomatium utriculatum), Columbia Gorge Lupine (Lupinus latifolius var. thompsonianus), Western Wallflower (Erysimum capitatum), White Western Groundsel (Senecio integerrimus var. ochroleucus), Stonecrop (Sedum sp.), Upland Larkspur (Delphinium nuttallianum), Small-Flowered Blue-Eyed Mary (Collinsia parviflora), Catchfly (Silene sp.), Spreading Phlox (Phlox diffusa), Rock Penstemon (Penstemon rupicola), Subalpine Mariposa (Calochortus subalpinus), Small-Flowered Penstemon (Penstemon procerus), Annual Agoseris (Agoseris heterophylla var. heterophylla), Wild Strawberry (Fragaria vesca), Field Chickweed (Cerastium arvense), Oregon Sunshine (Eriophyllum lanatum), and Olympic Onion (Allium crenulatum).
