Plumas County Wildflower Update 5/31/12

Wildflower reports for Plumas County continue to be posted on the Plumas county Bloom Blog and  Joe Willis’s blackoaknaturalist blog.  Check out both sites for photos and older reports. Lady slipper Orchids are still blooming and are being joined by other orchids and  lilies.

Currently in bloom along Caribou Road, maybe a half mile past the bridge over the North Fork, are Lady Slipper Orchids, Stream Orchids, Reed Lilies, Tiger Lilies, Western Azaleas,  Arnica, Rose Clover, Asters and Burr Clover.

Please be careful with these flowers. The Orchids (Lady Slipper and Stream Orchid) in particular are rare.
