The Plumas County Bloom Blog had the following wildflower bloom update for 5/29/12.
The Heart-leaf Milkweed, AKA Purple Milkweed, Asclepias cordifolia, is now blooming in many areas around Quincy. It does well on drier slopes and I shot these near Oakland Camp. The Mountain Ladyslippers are still blooming just beyond the last bridge before Oakland Camp. Rose Bud was photographed in Boyle Ravine. Many Wild Roses are blooming up there at this time.
The Coralroot is blooming in many shady woods areas around Quincy. This very yellow specimen was growing near the Mountain Ladyslippers on the way to Oakland Camp.
