Investigation Of Wildlife Service’s Brutal Killing Of Wildlife

The Sacramento Bee published a three-part series on a detailed investigation on the Wildlife Services branch of the federal Department of Agriculture. Wildlife Services has long specialized in killing animals deemed as threats to agriculture, the public and  more recently  the environment. They found the Wildlife Services program of killing predators:

  • used brutal killing methods
  • killed many unintended victims including protected species, pets and even humans have died as part of the program
  • has a harmful effect on biodiversity, degrade habitat and invite disease
  • secretive and at times possibly illegal
