I receive the following wildflower bloom information from Mojave National Preserve.
We have seen very few wildflowers this spring and so have not had anything to
report. This is expected as we had very little precipitation this past
winter and early spring. We did have some precipitation throughout the
park late last week and hope that this rain/snow event may encourage some
late spring blooms. The only species we have seen blooming in any number are the Bladderpod and
creosote bushes along Kelbaker Road. We are also seeing some (a few) White
evening primrose along Kelbaker and Cima Roads, and have a had a few
reports of sparse Joshua tree and claret cup blooms in the Cima Dome area.
