The LA Times reports that two more Golden Eagles have died at the L.A. Dept. of Water and Power Tehachiapi wind farm. This is three times the death rate per wind turbine of the Altamont Pass wind farm. The U.S. Fish and wildlife is investigating the causes of the deaths. Environmental activists are calling for a study of the impact of the turbines on birds and for a moratorium on the development of further wind farms in Kern county at this time.
