Sand Hill Cranes at Woodbridge Road

Woodbridge Road Ecological Reserve in the Central Valley is one of California’s top places to see Sandhill Cranes.  To see a recent report and get a feel for the area check this posting on John Wall’s Natural California Sandhill Cranes. Make sure you look at the Vimeo video at the bottom where you can see and hear the cranes in action including their dances.

If you head out to Woodbridge Road you might also want to stop at Staten Island and Consumnes.  For more information on these areas check my earlier posting from January 6 Sandhill Cranes: Birding Staten Island And Consumnes.
