S. F. Mayor Supports Golf Course Over Open Space

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee vetoed the bill that would have converted the Sharp Park Golf Course into National Park land. Had the 417 acre park been turned into parkland it would have provided open space and habitat for the threatened California red-legged frog and endangered San Francisco garter snake.
