Ebird reported that a Red-flanked Bluetail,Tarsiger cyanurus, was seen on December 6 on San Clemente Island off of southern California. This is only the second time one has been seen in North America outside of Alaska. The Red-flanked Bluetail breeds mainly in Siberia and usually spend its winters in southeastern Asia.
