Eastern Sierra Fall Color Updates 10/27/11

Updated 10/27/11

California Fall Color reports lots of color remaining although past peak in most areas.  Here is the quick summary. For the full report go to: http://www.californiafallcolor.com/?p=1612

Past Peak – Bishop Creek Canyon – Intake II and Aspendell still showing lots of color
Past Peak – McGee Creek Canyon –  about 70-80%
Past Peak – Convict Lake – About 50-60%
Past Peak – June Lake Loop
75 – 100% Lundy Canyon
Past Peak – Conway Summit
75 – 100% – Sonora Pass

Eastern Sierra Fall color updates from Calphoto posted on 10/25/11:

  • South Lake leaves have blown down.
  • North lake, Sabrina looking east, McGee creek and Convict lake were still yellow/gold.
  • Lee Vining Canyon wind has blown down many leaves
