Radio station KPCC put together a list of outdoor apps to honor Steve Jobs:
- Audubon Nature California: The Ultimate California Guide “ includes California’s “birds, butterflies, fish, insects and spiders, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, trees, and wildflowers.
- Plants of the Santa Monica Mountains app. over 400 color photos and 310 plant species.
- Local Birds of Southern California app 200 common Southern Californian species.
- Department of Fish and Game released a mobile-friendly website on marine-protected areas in the state.
