Federal Government Will Keep Three California Parks Open

Tomales Bay State Park, Samuel P. Taylor State Park And Del Norte Redwoods State Park To Stay Open

The National Park Service has announced it will take over operation of three state parks that were to be closed due to budget cuts.  The parks are Tomales Bay State Park, Samuel P. Taylor State Park and Del Norte Redwoods State Park. All three parks are located withing the boundaries of national park or recreation areas.  The agreement will also include extended cooperative management in  operating Mt. Tamalpais State Park.
