Parchers Resort posted on 10/2/11: “We’re at or near peak fall color above 8500 ft. on the South Fork Bishop Creek….gorgeous! Things on the other side of the canyon are looking great but are still a little ways from peak.” They will post a more detailed report and photos tomorrow.
Lake Sabrina Boat Landing reports on 10/3/11:
“Can’t seem to find the words to describe the scenery at the Lake – the yellows, oranges, reds, golds and greens – all so picturesque – and speaking of picturesque, there were plenty of photographers trying for that one perfect picture – in fact, we do believe there were more picture takers on the dam then fishermen. That might be due to the w-i-n-d that was with us all weekend and will be with us for at least the beginning of the week along with colder temperatures and possibly some of that white stuff. If the temps get too cold, the beautiful colored leaves will turn a dreaded black and drop.”
