Fall Color Updates Around the U.S.

New Jersey

NJ.com reports Fall colors looking super due to August rain  Due to a very wet August  it is predicted to be a very good year for New Jersey Fall Color in October. (I have a special fondness for N.J. as this is where I grew up and first experienced fall color. – Sandy)

Colorado

Corloradoan.com reports Aspens taking time in donning autumn finery in Colorado mountains Fall colors in Colorado are later than usual.  Peak color may be delayed a week and peak the first or second week in October.

Missouri

Stltoday.com reports Leaves may fall short on color Due to a long dry summer fall foliage season in the St. Louis region may be disappointing this year. (Another area I have memories of from having lived four years in St. Louis and Southern Illinois; memories of great drives up along the rivers and seeing great fall color)

Minnesota

Mlive.com says Best fall color show in 10 years? That’s what Minnesota says  Minnesota’s Department of Natural Resources forestry say weather conditions have been near perfect and this could be a great year for fall foliage in Minnesota
