Today I had a rare midweek afternoon off and went up to the Regional Parks Botanic Garden (Berkeley, CA) in Tilden Park. It is a great time of year to see Clarkias. There are many unidentified Clarkias all over the garden as well as some identified rare ones in the beds. There is also a great stand of Jimson Weed in bloom. It was midday and sunny. Yes, we do get an occasional sunny day in August in the Bay Area. I chose to work with the light and mostly shot backlit flowers. Here are some photos from today.
