Lakes Basin/Plumas County Wildflower Update 8/19/11

Joe Willis posted a Lakes Basin/Plumas County Wildflower Report on his Black Oak Naturalist blog today.  He reported

“great display of Blazing Star began around the Massak rest area a few miles from Quincy…and on all the way to Blairsden.” and  “Gold Lake Road the roadside ditch was full of all kinds of blooms – Madia, Paintbrush (2 kinds), Rein Orchis, St. John’s Wort, Elderberry..” Read his full report at:  blackoaknaturalist: It’s still spring above 6,000′.
