Carson Pass Wildflower Report 8/14/11 Updated

Updated

Calphoto posted a report for this past Sunday that the area south of Carson Pass between Frog Lake and WInnemuca Lake is either at or just past peak. There is even still some snow. Read the report: calphoto : Message: Winnemucca Lake Trail – Carson Pass.

If you follow the road past the Caples Lake maintenance station there is one of the largest wildflower shows I have ever seen. I visit this area every year and this is the largest display ever. i have never seen so many varieties in one location.”
