Huntington Beach Wetlands Preservation Close To Completion

The California  Department of transportation has begun to transfer Newland Marsh to the Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservnacy.  This 44 acre property is the last stretch of land not yet held by the conservancy.   It is expected that part of a levee that separates the marsh from the ocean will be removed and that the habitat will be able to restore itself over a period of months.  To read more go to the LA Times article:
