Sonora Pass Open to Kennedy Meadows, Other Passes Remain Closed-Updated 5/28/11

Updated 5/28/11:   Sonora and Ebbetts Pass Are Open As of Friday May 27

My Motherload.com reports that highway 108 (Sonora Pass) is now open to Kennedy Meadows.  There is still full winter closure on Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass and Highway 120 Tioga Pass.

Yosemite Nature Notes adds “Road crews are grinding away at the extra-deep snow on both Glacier Point and Tioga Roads, slowly making progress to open up the high country for our cars.”

    i dont get it. is the sonora pass open to 395

      Today’s Caltrans report say it is completely open which should mean all the way to 395. I just copied this off of their website:

      SR 108
      [IN THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA AREA and SIERRA NEVADA]
      NO TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS ARE REPORTED FOR THIS AREA.
