Table Mountain Wildflower report from the Department of Fish and Game:
“I would say the bloom is past peak albeit strong. Some areas are turning golden. The windy weather we had last week impacted site. Still certain species haven’t bloomed yet but the massive displays are waning. The vernal pools have dried up with a few damp and mucky with floral rings at edges. I think lots to see for another week or two. If we get a late rain, then into the first week of May. The waterfalls are all running. Light rain may hit tomorrow late.
Parking lot filled today before 12 and on weekends will likely fill by 1030 or so. We never know how many club tours happen. With Easter being what I’d guess to be a lighter day, more people will likely visit on Saturday so lot may fill by 10. Some spaces along shoulder on Cherokee Rd.”
