The Marin CNPS chapter has posted wildflower sightings from this past weekend. They include detailed lists from Abbott’s Lagoon at Pt. Reyes of natives in bloom: short list and a longer list of all plants that were seen in bloom: plant list. There were also reports on Mt. Tamalpais of Trillium chloropetalum on Steep Ravine Trail and Fritillaria affinis at Barth’s Retreat. Please note that these reports are from the 17th and the bloom may have changed in the last few days.

Natural History Wanderings 
It’s stunning to see those plant lists. Can you imagine trying to make a photograph of all of those species?! Or even 10 percent of them, for that matter?
