Southern California Wildflower Updates 3/25/11

Theodore Payne  just published it s weekly reporting on  a number of  southern California wildflower spots.  They are recommending Anza Borrego and Whitewater Canyon Preserve for desert wildflowers; Harford Springs Wildlife Preserve and the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve for chocolate lilies (Fritillaria biflora).  You can get the full report at: http://www.theodorepayne.org/hotline/2011/20110318.pdf For southern California you might also check DesertUSA’s Southern California page and The Wildflower Conservancy.
