Wind Wolves Preserve Wildflower Report

Wind Wolves Wildflower expectations are lower this year

Last year was a very good wildflower season at Wind Wolves Preserve.  That may not be the case this year.  Due to erratic rains, unusual warm spells, and freezes the expectations are lower this year.  Best hope is for wildflower blooms at mid and upper elevations in April.  Check back with the Wind Wolves Preserve in April for updates.

Staff also report that over the past weekend there was not much happening at Carrizo Plain National Monument.

I’ll be camping at Wind Wolves next Saturday night. I don’t have high expectations, but I am hoping to get some good stuff; I’ll post a report when I get back.
