Lagunitas Creek Ramble February 27th and and Tomales Bay Bird Tour March 4

Lagunitas  Creek Ramble
Led by Naturalist Megan Isadore for a Hike along Lagunitas Creek!

This Sunday, February 27th to check for steelhead and endangered Lagunitas coho in Lagunitas Creek.
Stroll along the Creek with Megan Isadore, the lead naturalist for the Salmon Protection and Watershed Network.
Megan will discuss the ecological interplay between forest, river and salmon, the state of the endangered Lagunitas coho, and look for birds and amphibians. Meet at Devil’s Gulch parking area on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. at 10:00 a.m. and finish our hike around 1:00.

Tomales Bay Bird Tour Friday, March 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Led  by John Kelly, Audubon Canyon Ranch’s Director of Conservation Science.

Space is limited, reserve your spot today be emailing: eacadmin@svn.net This birding excursion with John Kelly will begin at ACR’s Cypress Grove Research Center in Marshall to view waterbirds and shorebirds along the shoreline of Tomales Bay. Then, we’ll carpool to ACR’s remote Tom’s Point property to look for birds at the northern end of the Bay.

FOR BOTH EVENTS, please bring a snack, water, sturdy shoes, layers of clothing and binoculars.

FOR BOTH EVENTS, a $25 donation for members, and a $30 donation for non-members is requested. All proceeds support Environmental Action Committee’s efforts to preserve the biologically diverse habitats and ecosystems in West Marin.
