More Evidence of Negative Impact of Climate Change on Polar Bears

Scientists studying polar bears in the Beaufort Sea area north of Alaska report that a female polar bear swam for nine days and 426 miles.  It is possible this was due to climate change.  As ice floes melt and polar bears swim further to get from one to another this puts them at further risk for survival.  Read more at  BBC – Earth News – Polar bear’s epic nine day swim in search of sea ice.
