Fall at UC Botanical Garden

Fall foliage, Cactus and More

I had read that the UC Botanical Garden (Berkeley,CA) has a fall foliage walk next Friday so I thought it might be a good day to go up and see the color.  The bright even overcast light was a plus.  Not only did I end up looking at fall color, but also cactus and lichens.  There aren’t that many places where you can take a fall foliage photo and have cactus in the foreground.   The garden’s fall color walk is next Friday  from 1 to 3 PM and is free for members and $10 for the public.  Here are some of my photos from today.

    Sandy,
Love these shots. Sometimes we forget what we have in our own backyard. I think the point also needs to be made that a garden, especially one with the diversity of the UC Botanical Garden has to be seen in all seasons to really be seen.

      Paul,
Thanks for your comment. I agree. That’s why I continue to go to all of the Berkeley gardens and Point Reyes throughout the year. Nature and gardens are constantly changing. There is always something new and different to see.
