Fall Foliage Hot Spots are Conway Summit, Lundy Canyon and Grant Lake

Michael Frye just reported on his blog on A Trip to the Eastern Sierra that Virginia Lakes Road, just above Conway Summit (which was showing some orange aspen) and Dunderberg Meadow had very good color.
Fall Color in California has new detailed reports of the Eastern Sierra by Kahlee Brighton and Inge Fernau covering many locations. Conway Summit, Lundy Canyon and Grant Lake area along the June Lake loop are current highlights. Also mentioned as having good color were Hope Valley and Monitor Pass.
Parchers Bishop Creek posted its last report of the season on 10/19/10 that states the high elevations are past peak. They report best color is between 8000 and 9000 feet and especially like the road to South Lake, Mountain Glen Campground, Mist Falls, Four Jeffery Camp Groves, and Willow Camp.
Yosemite Nature Notes Blog reports sugar maples and dogbane are showing a lot of color in Yosemite Valley. Native Maples, Aspen and Cottonwood are either just starting or still green. Oaks haven’t turned or gone mainly to brown.
Plumas County Fall Color reports on 9/16/10 it is still not at peak there but has a detailed list of 7 locations where you where you can color now. On 9/19/10 reported color at 50-75% with some spots of greet still showing
California Fall Color reports only a little yellow in Napa Valley vineyards.
