Richmond Bay Trail

Today I walked a part of the Richmond section of the Bay Trail from Pt. Isabel to a little past the Marina and back.  Six miles round trip at most.  The highlight of the walk was the birds. There were a number of alien, native and cultivated plants along the way.  When the weather is clear there can be views of San Francisco and Oakland.  Today’s birds were most likely ( I am not the great birder so errors are probable)  Double-crested Cormorant, Gulls, Killdeer, Canadian Goose, American Crow, Black Oystercatcher, Sandpiper, Willet, Clark’s Grebe,Mourning Dove, Rock Dove, Great Egret, Long-billed Curlew, Marbled Godwit, Red Knot, Whimbrel, Black Turnstone, Turkey Vulture, House Sparrow, White-Crowned Sparrow,  Short-billed Dowitcher, Mallard, and Whimbrel.

Richmond Bay Trail is an informational website that includes a calendar of events.  Unfortunately, the bird list link (which I desperately needed) was not working.
