Fall Color Around the Country 10/11/11

New England

The Kennebec Journal article Drab fall foliage falling flat, late  reports rain, fungus and warm weather have made some parts of Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire below average this year.

To see current status of New England Fall color check the Yankee Foliage Map which links to foliage reports and photos throughout New England.  As of today the map shows most areas either at moderate or peak with a few areas still  just starting to turn.

New York

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports Fall’s beauty on display in the Hudson Valley but past heavy rains may diminish this year’s fall color.

Wisconsin

Warming trends not affecting southeast Wisconsin’s autumn reports the Journal Sentinel. Fall color appears on a normal schedule with peak expected in a week.
