Shoot Now, Focus Later
Focusing your photo after you take the picture at a later time on your computer is the amazing feature of the new Lytro camera. Lytro has developed a new sensor that captures light from many angles and collects much more data than possible in current cameras. Special software allows you to adjust the focus of the photo on your computer screen. The cameras will be the size of point and shoot camera and are reported to have quality comparable to Nikon or Canon point and shoots. The cameras are also faster than current cameras as there is no lag time for focusing. Lytro plans to develop the cameras and sell them themselves and not license the technology to one of the big camera companies.
