Check Calphoto’s Fall Color in California for a number of new reports about where there is good fall color, what’s green and what is past in many  Eastern Sierra locations.

California Fall Color just reported that Convict Lake is at 90% color and looking very good.  Also June Lake and Silver Lake are looking very good and the June Lake loop should peak next week.

The Sacramento Bee has a new article today by Dave Henry on Best Bets for fall leaf color, Oct.15-17 His best bets for this weekend include Hope Valley, Conway Summit, Lundy Canyon, McGee Creek and South for of Bishop Creek.  Check the article for more details.

The Sacramento Bee also  publishes a  map rating fall color at many Sierra Nevada locations that is updated on Thursdays. Go to  Sierra Fall Colors to see it.
